Perfect!

It was great. The hospitality was unbeatable, and the manager even drove a snow plow to help us get out. They gave us homemade fudge that was amazing. Perfect place to spend a spring break!

Shady Brook Inn Review

Stayed 4 nights with 3 teens and 3 adults. Accommodations were excellent, well equipped, clean, and met all our needs. Inn is very well situated between Taos and Angel Fire. Management was very responsive to all our needs and questions. Would highly recommend.

Perfect accomodations!

We stayed 2 nights, and it far exceeded our expectations even with all of the kind reviews already posted! Ditto what everyone else has said. Vernon was so kind and helpful. The wine and personalized card were an extra-special touch! The suite was so fully stocked, it even came with laundry detergent and coffee. It was very clean, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. I feel like I need to include a recommendation just so people know this is real... some hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels/clothes would be helpful and another side table for the bed for setting glasses/book would be useful. There are hiking trails nearby which was a pleasant surprise. We definitely recommend this stop which is perfectly situated between Angel Fire and Taos, but not in the hustle and bustle of either.

Excellent Vacation Spot

Vernon greeted us when we arrived. Gave us a tour of our suite and an overview of how things work. Extremely gracious, thoughtful, and easily accessible if we needed anything but didn't impose any other time. We were a family of 6: grandparents, son and daughter-in-law and two grandsons ages 6 and 9. Perfect spacious accommodations for all of us without running over each other. So much for everyone to do from hiking, visiting the villages on the enchanted circle, see the gorgeous scenery of mountains, forest and canyons and plenty of activities for the boys. Breathtaking! Ask Vernon anything about what to see, where to eat, etc. and he has a wide variety of suggestions. Prior to our stay, we communicated with Vernon a few times with questions and he was quick to reply. We're ready to go back! Thank you, Vernon.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Break-Away!

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Villa! We had 4 families total and never felt cramped or crowded! The house and bedrooms are very spacious and all come with TVs. Vernon was the best and so helpful host! We would have liked to see more of him but we ended up leaving the house pretty much everyday for a family activity. but Vernon was always available and so helpful and full of information! It was great! The house was stocked with everything we needed! It was so easy to just unpack and unwind after our drive to New Mexico. My 18 month old had a blast running around the house too!

Vernon, the manager, was so very helpful. He greeted us upon arrival and he was always available to answer any questions we had and even helped secure us a taxi ride for the concert we were going to downtown. The ride is about 10-15 minutes down the canyon to town, so Shady Brook is just far enough away to feel like you were in nature, and we were... The property backed up the Kit Carson national forest! The house had all the amenities we needed to feel at home, and we were able to sleep 9 comfortably on the beds and pull outs. Thanks, Vernon and Family…… It was great! 5 stars!

Luxury Mountain View Suites

Vernon and his wife were wonderful. Both greeted me upon arrival and they are very interesting people. The Mountain View Suites was not your typical staying experience. The house was very well stocked with more than we would ever need. Very clean, well decorated, tasteful, quiet location, near hiking trails and only ten minutes from downtown Taos. We would definitely stay here again.

PRESIDENTIAL GRAND VILLA

Bobs place was beyond our expectations! His concierge Vernon was a superb host in Bob's absence, and treated us not only as guests, but literally rolled out the red carpet for us with wine and fresh fudge that his wife made for us. The amenities were more than expected, with horseshoes, satellite TV, a huge well stocked kitchen, and gas fireplaces in two rooms. It was a very comfortable place to stay and guaranteed we will return!

Mountain Biking Group

My group of mountain bikers stayed in the Kiva Townhome Suite and it served our needs completely. We filled all the beds and the manager, Vernon, provided us with a nice cot for one extra sleeper. Very luxurious accommodations for a group used to camping. We prepared a dinner and breakfast in the well stocked kitchen. Seemed to have all we needed.

I can not say enough about how warm and wonderful our family trip was to Taos last August. Vernon was so nice, informative and helpful. We had a group 6 with children. The cabin was top notch! Clean with beautiful decor. We were greeted by Vernon and he made sure all our needs were met. He was so nice and made us feel so special and welcome. I will definitely find my way back to Shady Brook Inn. This was a vacation of great memories.
